Direct-C develops nanocomposite sensing and Industrial Internet of Things technology that enables oil and gas operators to detect small leaks before they become costly environmental or operational incidents. Its mobile, battery-powered systems monitor pipelines, wells, storage facilities, pumping stations, and other high-consequence assets without requiring on-site power or communications infrastructure. By combining continuous monitoring, precise incident location, and automated alerts, Direct-C is building scalable infrastructure for safer, more efficient asset management.

Adrian Banica is the CEO and CTO of Direct-C, leading the commercialization of its nanocomposite sensors and connected asset-monitoring systems. He has presented Direct-C’s research at international pipeline-technology conferences and co-authored technical papers covering remote leak detection, subsurface monitoring, mobile sensor deployment, and multi-sensor IIoT infrastructure. His work connects technology development with field deployment, helping operators apply advanced sensing systems to aging, remote, and environmentally sensitive energy assets.
